Abstract
On the analogy of the differences between a hypertension fundus and hypertensive retinopathy, which differences are prognostically of much importance, it seems to be rational to differentiate, too, between longterm diabetes, without visible retinal involvement but with beginning functional disturbance, to be called fundus diabeticus, and diabetic retinopathy.
