Abstract
The prevalence and distribution of uveitis varies in different parts of the world due to geographic, genetic, alimentary, and demographic factors. Literature on the epidemiology of uveitis is rare, but it can give us a new insight in the etiology and pathogenesis of the disease. After a short summary of literature on the epidemiology of uveitis before the second half of 1993 a review of the more recent literature is given.
